Count Gilles thought he saw his wife Susanna outside, whom he had supposedly grounded. But when he returned home, she was there, much to his relief, but for some reason the room smelled of cigarettes. The Count was suspicious and wondered, "Could Susanna have a lover? The Count is suspicious. Wolf-Ferrari's comic opera "Susanna's Secret," known for "The Jewel of the Madonna," is a compact production in one act with only two singers. Lydia Friedman and Omar Montanari are both highly acclaimed for their skills in Donizetti's works, and the Berlin Opera Group Orchestra, led by Felix Krieger, has made a name for itself since its founding in 2013 with performances of a variety of works.
