Breakaway / Safety Buckle Clasp (the most common type for cat collars). This type has a safety feature that allows it to automatically pop open if tugged on hard enough / breaks away at ~11 lbs of tensile force - (this unit of measurement is not related to the pet's weight)). Safety breakaway buckles are designed to prevent a choking hazard if the pet's collar gets caught on something. This option will look just like what you see in the photos.
Non-BreakawayBuckle Clasp (the most common type for dog collars). This fastener does not tug open - it stays securely in place. Select NON-breakaway if using the collar with a leash or you do not want any chance of the collar auto-releasing when tugged on.This option will look just like what you see in the photos.
